What is Personal Training?
All of us think of something when it comes to this question and most of us think personal training is a person that holds a stopwatch and yells at you to push hard. That is somewhat true...but WellPower has a little different approach to your typical personal training.
WellPower focuses on individuality and tailoring a program for each individual. Do you want to train for a specific event (ie. get into the military, climb a 14er, run a marathon), feel stronger, be more flexible, have better cardiovascular health, reduce pain, increase bone density, look better, tone up, bulk up, or lose weight? Whatever your goal may be, WellPower can design a program that is just for you!
WellPower specializes in resistance training because most people don't know that without some form of strength training, you lose 8 lbs of muscle per decade starting at the age of 20. But guess what...that can be easily prevented or reversed. When most people think of resistance training they think of what athletes do: squats, deadlifts, or bulking up. But that isn't all true. Resistance training is designed to stimulate muscle to grow to increase strength...not always size. And when you understand the biomechanics of the body, and also the physics of equipment, you can utilize each piece in a way that is right for the individual.
Who has time to spend hours in a gym everyday? Only a few...so this program is designed with just that in mind. Most people have limited time to get into the gym because of work, children, or life in general. So WellPower can do just that in 30 minutes twice a week! If you desire more time, then there is a workout designed just for you too. Every individual is different, so WellPower will design a program for you that meets your goals. Each minute is used during your workout.
Our facility is a private studio without all the distractions of a typical membership gym. There are no memberships, so no one can walk in and use facility without an appointment with a trainer. That enables you to get personalized attention and more knowledge about your body because you will be with the same trainer the entire duration of your program (as long as you want it to be).
